Our Partners
BVF (Beyond Vision Foundation)
- Beyond Vision Foundation (BVF), a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, is a crucial financial partner of Beyond the Vision Initiative (BVI) in Nairobi’s Tassia Slum. BVF channels American donations to BVI, enabling the operation of the tuition-free Beyond the Vision Community School. This support extends beyond primary education, as BVF also provides scholarships for BVCS graduates to attend secondary school and college.
- This partnership ensures that BVI can focus on its mission of educating underserved children in Tassia Slum. BVF’s funding supports qualified teachers and a curriculum aligned with Kenyan standards at BVCS. Moreover, their contribution enables the ambassador program, where scholarship recipients mentor younger students and engage in community service.
- Ultimately, BVF’s dedicated financial backing empowers BVI to offer a vital pathway to education and brighter futures for the children in the community.
HNA
- The HNA Mental Health Program is a key partner in BVI’s “Hakeem’s Space,” providing vital resources and expertise for mental health support in the Tassia Slum. Inspired by Hakeem Nzimbi Aquil, HNA contributes to counselor training, curriculum development, and victim advocacy.
- This collaboration enhances BVI’s ability to offer crucial preventive education and trauma-informed care. Aligning with BVI’s holistic approach, HNA also supports the development of a Wellness Center at the future BVI Holistic School in Laikipia, aiming to provide comprehensive mental health services.
SBS (Street Business School)
- Street Business School (SBS) is a vital partner for BVI’s Jikimu Kimaisha program, providing its core entrepreneurship curriculum. This training equips women in need with crucial business skills, like money management and pricing. By adapting its methods locally, SBS empowers participants to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth and resilience within their communities. This partnership ensures practical and impactful training for sustainable livelihoods.
IAHV (The International Association for Human Values)
- The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) partners with BVI by offering programs focused on stress reduction and leadership development, aiming to cultivate human values within individuals and communities. With a mission centered on fostering connectedness, respect, non-violence, and social service, IAHV’s initiatives enhance mental clarity and promote resilience. Registered in Kenya since 2004 and holding special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC, IAHV contributes to BVI’s work by instilling crucial human values that underpin sustainable socio-economic development and contribute to a more peaceful and just society.
